Taylor Swift and Post Malone are leading the pack as major nominees for the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards. Both artists have achieved significant success with their collaboration on the track "Fortnight."
Swift has once again excelled in nominations, securing a total of 10 nods. Her song "Fortnight" is up for eight categories, including Video of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Collaboration, Best Direction, Best Cinematography, Best Editing, Best Visual Effects, and Best Director. Additionally, Swift is nominated for Artist of the Year and Best Pop. At the 2023 VMAs, she won 9 out of 11 nominations, including Artist of the Year and Video of the Year for "Anti-Hero."
Other notable nominees include Megan Thee Stallion (5 nominations), SZA (5 nominations), LISA (4 nominations), Teddy Swims (4 nominations), Dua Lipa (3 nominations), Benson Boone (3 nominations), Anitta (3 nominations), Tyla (3 nominations), and GloRilla (3 nominations).
For the 2024 VMAs, a total of 29 artists have been nominated, including Benson Boone, Chappell Roan, Coco Jones, Gracie Abrams, Jelly Roll, Jessie Murph, LE SSERAFIM, Morgan Wallen, Rauw Alejandro, RAYE, Teddy Swims, Sexyy Red, Shaboozey, Tyla, Tyler Childers, and Victoria Monét.
As with last year's event, fans will have the opportunity to vote in 15 gender-neutral categories, including Video of the Year, Best Collaboration, and Artist of the Year. Fans can vote at vote.mtv.com until August 30. Voting for Best New Artist will remain open until the show on September 10. Nominations for social categories will be announced at a later date.
